EPDM rubber is a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene and non-conjugated diolefins. The main characteristic is its superior resistance to oxidation, ozone and erosion. Because its main chain is composed of chemically stable saturated hydrocarbons and contains only unsaturated double bonds in the side chains, it has excellent aging resistance to ozone, heat and weather, and can be widely used in automotive parts, waterproof materials for construction, wire and cable sheathing, heat-resistant hoses, tapes, automotive seals and other fields.
EPDM is essentially non-polar, resistant to polar solutions and chemicals, has low water absorption, and has good insulating properties.
