How to tighten the bolts of rubber jointsTorque-free plum wrench or whack wrench: applicable to general equipment and pipeline flange tightening, selected according to bolt size and flange pressure level.
1. The maintenance unit develops the tightening program and tightens the flange according to symmetry (according to cross tightening)
2. Take the clock 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock as the direction, and position the gasket with four bolts in these four positions to ensure that the center of the wound gasket is within the edge of the cornice.
3. Hand tighten the position bolts, then insert the other stud bolts and hand tighten them to balance the load, making sure that at least 2 threads are exposed at each end of the nut.
4.According to the site equipment and flange, tighten one turn as one time, and set the number of times of tightening (at least 3 times) and the load (strength) of each tightening, and tighten the load (strength) in order from small to large (such as 50%, 80%, 100% increment), do not load the load too fast and too large to prevent the gasket seal failure.
5. The order of tightening each time without torque plummer wrench or hammer wrench: tighten the two bolts opposite radially to the established hammering load (strength) of the bolts; tighten the other pair of bolts about 90 degrees away from the previous two bolts along the circumference; continue tightening until all the remaining bolts are tightened to the established hammering load.
6. Finally, tighten all bolts in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction to 100% of the hammering load (force).
