When the steel casing expander is out of use for a long time, the steel casing expander should be disassembled, dried, and the rotating part and the joint should be greased and stored properly. Because of the special nature of the rotating equipment, the pipeline related to it needs to be set up carefully, not only to facilitate the actual operation and maintenance of the steel casing expander, but also to ensure that the pipeline connected with it is in a stress-free or low stress state to ensure the stable operation of the steel casing expander.
 
All pipelines connected to the steel casing expander (pipe bursting test) should have a separate solid support point to reduce the vibration of the pipeline and avoid the net weight of the pipeline on the steel casing expander. Adjustable support frames should be set up at the inlet and outlet of the steel casing expander, and shock-absorbing support frames should be set up for the pipeline to moderately adjust the position of the pipeline and reduce the additional force on the steel casing expander nozzle caused by the installation error.
 
When the pipeline connecting the steel casing expander and the equipment is short and the two are not the same base, the connecting pipeline needs to have corresponding flexibility or add metal hose to compensate for the uneven settlement of the base. The suction pipeline of steel casing expander should be in line with the net positive suction pressure head required by steel casing expander, and the pipeline should be as short as possible and with less turns.
 
When the pipeline length exceeds the distance between the equipment and the steel casing expander, the process system should be asked to account for it. To avoid cavitation caused by the steel casing expander, the inlet nozzle pipeline elevation from the equipment to the steel casing expander should be gradually decreased, and the U-shape should not appear in the middle; if it cannot be avoided, the steel casing expander should be added at the high point and the liquid discharge valve at the low point.
