The expansion joint mainly consists of body, expansion casing, gland, sealing ring and bolt. The expansion body, expansion casing and gland are made of 16MnR, and the sealing ring is made of nitrile rubber, which has good water tightness and air tightness. The fasteners are nickel-based stainless steel, with strong wear and corrosion resistance and long service life. 2.
 
The expansion joint and butterfly valve are used together to compensate the position and angle error of the pipe flange through the axial expansion and radial angular displacement between the two flange surfaces, and eliminate the internal stress of the pipe caused by the temperature difference of the pipe, which brings a great degree of convenience to the installation and maintenance of the pipe.
 
The structure length of the expansion joint at the factory is a smaller length, and the seal gland bolts are in a tight state, which should be pulled to the installation length during installation, and the gland bolts should be tightened in time after installation; when used to connect valves, the expansion joint can be adjusted to the required length, but the expansion range should not be exceeded. If used to compensate the displacement of the pipeline caused by temperature difference, the installation should be adjusted to the installation length at room temperature; the expansion joint can be installed at any position on the pipeline, but when used to connect the valve, it should be located behind the valve; longer or heavier pipelines should be set up with movable supports near the expansion joint to ensure the normal operation of the expansion joint; the gland bolts of the expansion joint should be tightened in time after installation, paying attention to the degree of tightness, which should be adjusted according to the working pressure of the pipe The tightness should be adjusted according to the working pressure of the pipeline, too tight or too loose will affect the sealing effect, expansion and flexibility, and the limit bolts should be fixed in time to prevent pulling off during use.
