Rectangular stainless steel welded corrugated compensator role
Rectangular corrugated compensator is mainly used to absorb the axial displacement and lateral displacement produced by the rectangular pipeline, but does not absorb the angular displacement. It is selected and applied in the same way as the circular corrugated compensator, and it is necessary to avoid torsional force on the bellows during the whole use.
When applied to axial displacement: the pipe is divided into several straight sections by fixed brackets, and a rectangular corrugated compensator is set between two fixed brackets. It is not recommended for "Z" shaped pipelines, where the main fixed brackets are installed at both ends of the pipeline to withstand the internal pressure thrust, the elastic reaction force caused by the displacement and the friction of the guiding brackets. Due to the presence of "Z" bend, the load has to be transferred through the inclined pipe arm, therefore, a moment is generated on the pipe. If the pipe size is small and the distance between two parallel pipe sections is large, the load caused by internal pressure and displacement is large, this setup method will cause distortion or excessive stress on the pipe and the guide bracket. It should be noted that the guide bracket should be set close to the ends of the inclined pipe arm in order to reduce the bending moment acting on the pipe system.
Transverse displacement and the role of combined displacement: for single type axial type to absorb axial displacement while absorbing a small amount of transverse displacement, choose compound free type when the middle pipe section is heavy, the compensator should be set up hinges and other load-bearing structures and the weight of the middle pipe to both sides of the bracket.
