Overview
Stainless steel flanged ball valves can be tightly closed with a 90-degree rotation and minimal torque. The fully symmetrical valve body cavity provides a low-resistance, straight-through flow path for the medium. Ball valves are typically considered suitable for direct on/off applications, but recent developments have enabled their design for throttling and flow control functions. The main features of ball valves include a compact structure, ease of operation and maintenance, and suitability for general working media such as water, solvents, acids, and natural gas. They are also suitable for harsh working conditions involving media such as oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, methane, and ethylene. The valve body can be either a monoblock or a modular design. This type of valve should be installed in the horizontal direction of the pipeline.Features
1. Low fluid resistance, with a resistance coefficient equivalent to that of a pipe segment of the same length.2. Simple structure, compact size, and lightweight.
3. Tight and reliable sealing. Currently, the sealing surface materials of ball valves widely use plastic, ensuring excellent sealing performance, and they are also widely used in vacuum systems.
4. Easy to operate, with rapid opening and closing; only a 90° rotation is required to go from fully open to fully closed, making it suitable for remote control.
5. Easy to maintain, as the ball valve has a simple structure and the sealing rings are typically removable, making disassembly and replacement convenient.
6. When fully open or fully closed, the sealing surfaces of the ball and valve seat are isolated from the medium, preventing erosion of the valve sealing surfaces when the medium flows through.
7. Wide range of applications, with nominal diameters ranging from a few millimetres to several metres, and applicable from high vacuum to high-pressure environments.
Ball valves are widely used in various industries such as petroleum, chemicals, power generation, papermaking, nuclear energy, aviation, and rocketry, as well as in everyday life.
