Expansion joints can not only effectively absorb the expansion of the pipeline, but also effectively absorb pipeline vibration, and can be used to isolate the vibration of the equipment interface.
 
When calculating the selection, in addition to the working temperature requirements, we must pay attention to the thermal displacement of the pipe system and the thermal displacement of the equipment interface for superposition, in order to be used as the basis for the selection of non-metallic expansion joints.
 
If the expansion joint is found to be burned through in operation, it should be dealt with in time. In the case of wide expansion joints, serious cracking of castables and time constraint, the expansion joints can be filled with ceramic fibers and the ceramic fibers can be coated with high-temperature hot plugging glue in layers, which on the one hand reinforces the bond between ceramic fibers and expansion joints, and on the other hand, the cracked castables can be sealed temporarily and replaced after shutdown.
